Your Dreams Are Achievable Onesie
“I wanted to show everyone that black women can do ballet, even if you don’t see those images every day when you turn on the TV….Have a firm belief in yourself and know that your dreams are achievable.”
Aesha Ash performed as a professional ballerina for 13 years. During this time she attended the School of American Ballet, joined the New York City Ballet, and has held both solo and principal roles for companies like the Béjart Ballet in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the Alonzo King Lines Ballet in San Francisco. Currently, she uses her platform to tackle stereotypes placed on black women and encourages youth to pursue their dreams regardless of race or socio-economic status.
